How Do You Meditate?

, healingPAQ

Meditations

Meditation is a state or a way of being. It is not a form. You do not have to be or get into a particular physical form to meditate. First, just get comfortable, relax, and trust what comes. Relaxing and experiencing what comes helps open your heart. Opening the heart connects you to goodness and divine, which helps you take in love, joy, peace, and compassion. You can learn to integrate meditation into your daily activities, such as waking up in the morning, taking a shower, brushing your teeth, sitting in rush hour traffic, working, going to meetings, cooking, cleaning, playing, going to social or volunteer events, dancing, making love, and whatever you do throughout the day.

When you are aware and integrate love, joy, peace, and compassion in your daily activities, then every activity becomes meditation! So the answer to “How do you meditate?” question is simply “by living.”

If you are new to meditation, we’ll introduce a breathing form and a thought form to enhance your daily activity.

If you know meditation modalities like Yoga, Tai Chi or Qigong, Reiki, or other meditation forms already, you can incorporate what we share into your techniques. You do not have to change anything if you do not wish to. It’s your choice.

Foundations of energy healing and energy emission are used for self healing and distance healing (healing of others and planet Earth) techniques. Both techniques are based on breath and thought foundations.

Breath as a Foundation

The first foundation of meditation is breath. You breathe 24 hours a day. If you don’t breathe for a few minutes, your body shuts down and dies. It’s important to recognize your unique connection with the Divine through your breath. Once you recognize it, then you can integrate, practice, and enhance your connection to divine 24/7.

Thought as a Foundation

The second foundation of meditation is thought. You think 24/7. Whether you are asleep or awake, your mind, your brain is busy processing. Creator created the brain to serve you. It did not create you to serve your brain. When you accept and realize your brain is here to serve you, you manage and direct your thoughts.
You assist your brain by planting a good thought, deciding how long to think about it, improving the quality of that thought, and acknowledging the impact of the thought on your physical body, emotional body, and spiritual body.

Opening the Heart

Your heart is the seat of your soul and your unique connection to Divine intelligence, love, joy, peace, and compassion. Set your intention to open your heart. Opening of the heart has no limits. A heart, as open as it may be, can always be more open. If you imagine the heart to be connected to goodness by a wire, then the objective is to reduce the static in the wire as much as possible.

The quality of this connection can be improved until it's perfect. Nothing is one hundred percent pure or perfect. So there is always room for improvement.

So how do you open your heart? Use a phrase similar to the one below. It is a starting point to opening the heart and maintaining focus. You may use it as is or change it as you like.

I am a child of Light living on Earth serving the Divine, myself, and everyone I come in contact with. I set and synchronize my intentions with Divine intentions at the highest level and allow healing energy, love, joy, peace, and compassion to enter my heart. I trust in goodness and accept my destiny and I filter every thought, emotion, and challenge through this lens of love, joy, peace, and compassion.

Let’s Meditate

Now is a good time to start a meditation. Let’s get started.

  1. Eliminate distractions. Turn music, telephone, TV, computer, email, chat, IM, and all communications off. Arrange for loved or hated ones to be elsewhere. As proud as you may be of your multi-tasking abilities, don’t multi-task. Bring your attention and focus to here and now. Be here and be present.
  1. Get comfortable. You may stay at home or go anywhere quiet where you feel peace and are at ease. Stand, sit, or lay down. Take off your shoes. Loosen up your clothing. Get naked if you like and the law allows it. Free up your hands and place them at your side. Uncross your legs. Do whatever makes you comfortable.

  2. Slowly close your eyes. Close your eyes lightly and comfortably. Keep them closed while meditating. There is nothing going on around you. There is nothing to miss.

  3. Relax. Imagine and remember when you walk into a shower. As water hits your head and starts running down your body:
    1. Relax top of your head – your crown.
    2. Relax your forehead – your third eye.
    3. Relax your face – your nose, chic, lips, jaw, teeth and mouth.
    4. Relax your neck – your throat.
    5. Relax your chest – your heart and lungs.
    6. Relax your shoulders, arms, elbows, wrists, and hands.
    7. Relax your stomach – your navel.
    8. Relax your reproductive organs – your root.
    9. Relax your hips, waist, legs, knees, shins, ankles, and feet.

  4. Become aware of your breath.
Calm and slow down breathing in and out. With every breath, you can breathe in divine love, joy, peace, and compassion.

  5. Set your intention. Repeat your phrase of choice (like the one below) out loud or in your mind. The purpose of it is to acknowledge your connection with divine through your heart. It will help open your heart to divine energy. Some may prefer not to use the word God or divine. If that is the case for you use a name that resonates with you based on your background and beliefs and is a symbol of goodness for you.

I am a child of God living on earth serving the Divine. I request divine love and compassion to enter my heart. I set my intention to be in line with divine focus & intention. I filter every thought and emotion through this lens of love and compassion.

If a thought, emotion or feeling arises just acknowledge and accept. Do not fight or deny it. Send your love and compassion to whatever comes. This may feel strange at first. Just do it without worry or judgment. When that thought, emotion or feeling is strong and keeps coming back, it’s okay.  Let it arise and give it additional love and compassion. You are your powerful and strong master. You can allow and permit you to be.

  6. Ask for help and guidance. You are a child of God living on earth serving the Divine. Ask Divine for help.

An example is “Divine, this thought, emotion, or pain is really strong.  I release it to you to handle.” Asking Divine for help to support you creates the possibility to release that thought, emotion, or pain. Ask Divine for healing energy. An example is “I ask you for divine healing energy”.

Ask higher beings for their assistance. You can call Archangel Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, Metatron, Temple of Masters, Temple of Angels, Temple of Knowledge and Tree of Life to assist and help you.

  7. Become aware. You are breathing to nourish your thought body, emotion body, and physical body.  You are asking Divine to fill you with love, joy, peace and compassion through your heart and with every inhale. You are breathing out, releasing all pains of your thought body, emotion body, and physical body. You are asking Divine to help you release pain with every exhale. You are breathing all your pains out to Divine.

  8. Be thankful. Thank yourself for taking the time to open your heart to love, joy, peace and compassion for your benefit. Be thankful for your unique connection with goodness, collective consciousness, divine and God. You are taking the time to better yourself and your heart, to flow and vibrate with love, joy, peace and compassion. This is good. This is worthy of appreciation. It’s a beautiful concept.

Appreciate yourself by thanking every cell and organ in your body, every emotion you experience and every thought in your mind. Thank your inner child for playing along.

  9. Slowly open your eyes returning back to your environment. Keep your eyes closed longer if you want to. Take your time. Allow yourself all the time in the world. Choose to experience the rest of your day or night in a serene, peaceful, happy, loving environment and in your own sacred space.  Let all be.  Let you be. Focus on joy and having a quality time for you.

There is no mystery or complexity to meditation. Do as your heart guides you to do and adjust as you move forward.

The key is to practice meditation, not frustration.
